Safe House 1 shows a home stripped back and exposed with the bones of the house laid bare. It tells a story of a house without giving the shelter and nurture that it was designed for, inviting us to speculate and project onto its surfaces. We are interested in re-imagining the domestic space with the freedom that this transitional shell of home allows. We are working with the artist and Oxford-based community activist Junie James of ACKI (African-Caribbean Kultural Initiative).
